Gregory W. Hurd, Owner/Funeral Director
Gregory is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer. He graduated from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, Illinois in 1984 with an Associate Degree in Mortuary Science. Greg worked for the State of Illinois as a Correctional Officer, working at Hill Correctional Center in Galesburg, Illinois and the Corrections Training Academy in Springfield, Illinois. Greg and his wife Margaret then purchased the Weber Funeral Home in Chillicothe, Illinois in April of 2000. Greg and his wife have owned and operated the funeral home since then. Greg has also been a member of the fire service for more than 25 years. He has been a member of the Chillicothe Fire Department for the past 10 years. He currently is the Chief Training Officer with duties that consists of training, grants, reports and investigations. On the fire ground he is a sector chief along with the other chiefs.

Robert Finley

Robert Finley has been with Hurd Family Funeral Homes since 2013. He helps families after a time of loss through our Aftercare program and he also assists families with information about Pre-planning a funeral. He has helped hundreds of people Pre-plan their own funeral so that their loved ones will not be forced to make difficult choices at the time of loss.
Robert and his family are members of Riverside Community Church in Peoria, IL where he volunteers as the Missions Director. As a U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman, he cared for many service members. During his free time, he enjoys the little things in life....like a freshly mowed lawn, a long stroll on a country road, or fun and games over a bowl of home made ice cream with family and friends.
