Obituary of Clifford Blunier

Clifford R. Blunier, 85, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2017 at Heritage Health in Chillicothe. Clifford was born on July 11, 1931 in Peoria Heights, the son of Frederick and Della (Ives) Blunier. He married JoAnn Haverland on March 21, 1959 in Chillicothe. She preceded him in death on September 22, 2016. Also preceding him in death are his parents; four brother, Earl, Clinton, Berwyn, and Bernard; and one sister, Minerva. Surviving are: three sons, Kevin Blunier of Chillicothe, Kirk (Corinne) Blunier of Chillicothe, and Kerry (Michelle) Blunier of Ft. Worth, TX; two daughters, Karen Pitts of Washington, and Kathy (Ralph) Kimble of Chillicothe; thirteen grandchildren, Dustin Blunier, Matthew (Brandi) Blunier, Chelsea (Steven) Stieghorst, Jacob Pitts, April Pitts, Amber Cloyd, Amanda Blunier, Meagan (Wes) Shaw, Kaylee (Casey) Lamb, Travis Kimble, Trent Kimble, Trevor Kimble, and Tasha (Eric) Hattan; nineteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Melvin Blunier of Chillicothe. During his life, Clifford worked for Thomas Siding, Doors, and Windows, LW Thomas Sheet Metal for 44 years, and Caterpillar for 13 years. He was a member of Chillicothe VFW Post #4999 and the Peoria Casting Club. Clifford was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved woodworking, golfing, bowling, the Chicago Cubs, spending time with his family, vacationing in the Smoky Mountains and fishing A funeral will be held for Clifford at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Friends and relatives are invited to a visitation with the family two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Chillicothe VFW #4999 or Peoria Casting Club.
