Obituary of Max Jaquet

Max Jaquet, 90, of Rome, passed away on Thursday, April 13, 2017 at his home, surrounded by much of his family. Max was born on October 29, 1926 in Williamsfield, the son of Floyd and Elsie (Stodgel) Jaquet. He married June Hasten on July 29, 1949 in Peoria. He is survived by his wife, June; two children, Gary (Karen Ledger) Jaquet of Chicago and Marsha (David) Crawford of Chillicothe; a grandchild, Natalie (Brian Benway) Rosser of Chicago; a sister, Doris Curry of Davenport, IA; three step-grandchildren, Ryan Crawford of Pekin, Jonathan Crawford of Pekin, and Kelly (Jordon) Vogler of Pekin; and two step-great-grandchildren, Alexus and Knox Vogler. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Floyd and Wallace. Max worked at Caterpillar and then as a plumber for many years through the Plumbers Union Local #63 in Peoria. Max enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, golfing, traveling, and playing pool. He was a Life Member of the Peoria Casting Club. Max was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at the Peoria Casting Club, 1530 N. 2nd St., Chillicothe.
