Obituary of Veanes Plunk
Veanes May Plunk, age 78, of East Peoria passed away peacefully at home in the presence of the Lord on Tuesday, April 25, 2017.
She was born to the late Bruce and Lillie (Morrison) Cupples on December 27, 1938 in Montezuma, TN. She married Jimmie B. Plunk on September 17, 1955 in Corinth, MS, and they celebrated 55 years of marriage before his passing on March 20, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by one sister Helen Cooper, and two brothers Clifford and Howard Cupples.
Veanes is survived by her daughters, Vicki (Rocky) Holcomb of Morton, and Kim (Ron) Watters of Creve Coeur; one brother, Bill (JoAnn) Cupples; sisters-in-law, Peggy Cupples, Reba Cupples, and Emma Blankenship; grandchildren, Michael, Brian, Dustin, Denver, and Kara, and their families; two step-grandchildren, Shane and Candice, and their families; 23 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Veanes worked as an Administrative Secretary for IDOT for over 20 years before retiring. She loved the Lord, spending time with her family, and shopping at garage sales.
Private funeral services will be held and Veanes will be laid to rest in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
Memorial contributions in honor of Veanes may be made to Elevate Church in Morton or Dream Center in Peoria.
