Obituary of Pauline Gruner

Pauline A Gruner, 96, of Chillicothe passed away on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria.

Pauline was born on February 4, 1921 in Marshall County to Edwin and Mary (Ely) Wishall. She married Albert L. Gruner on February 17, 1943 at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2004.

Surviving are one sisters: Irene Metcalf and, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters.

Pauline was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe and the Legion of Mary. She was a charter member of the Princeville Historical Association and a member of Pearce Community Center in Chillicothe.

Pauline was a beautician in Princeville area for more than 21 years.

Friends and family may attend a Funeral Mass for Pauline on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 am at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe. Father Keith Walder will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service time at the Church. Burial will be held at Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Lacon. Memorials may be made to St. Edward Church or to the Princeville Historical Association.
