Obituary of Patsy Braasch

Patsy A. Braasch, 81, of Chillicothe passed away on Saturday May 27, 2017 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Patsy was born on April 11, 1936 in Chillicothe the daughter of William "Stub" and Ella Mae (Easter) Williams. She married Edward C. Braasch, Jr. on February 25, 1955 in Chillicothe. He preceded her in death after 54 years of marriage on March 20, 2009. Together they had five children, Deborah Pfeiffer of Morton, Natalie Smith of Chillicothe, Sheryl (Brad) Aeschliman of Chillicothe, Edward "Charlie" Braasch III of Chillicothe, and Julia (Steve) Evans of Chillicothe. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Desirae (Josh) Smick, Nathan Hood, Richard (Caren) Pfeiffer, Mathias Smith, James (JoDee) Best, Ashley (Jordan) Ross, Elizabeth (Leif) Bernhardt, Samantha (Justin) Griffith, Dustin Gerber, Joshua (Jake) Gerber, Max Evans, and Hanna Evans; Step grandchildren, Bill Best, April (Cary) Lehman and Jacob (Rachel) Aeschliman; and nineteen great grandchildren. Patsy was proud to be a graduate of Chillicothe Township High School. She then went to work at the Santa Fe Railroad, Chillicothe Dairy, the Chilli Bowl, and then for Caterpillar. Over the years she enjoyed being a girl scout leader, helping with Jobs Daughters. She was on several bowling teams in the area. She also enjoyed gardening, especially growing her tomatoes. A funeral service is will be held for Patsy on Friday, June 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. A visitation will be held on Thursday evening from 5-7:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will held at Blue Ridge Cemetery.
