Obituary of Corinne Biersdorff

Corinne M. Biersdorff, age 86, of Peoria passed away at 6:00 PM on Monday, August 21, 2017 at Proctor Place in Peoria.
  She was born on September 20, 1930 in Peoria to Clifford and Evelyn (Guppy) Molloy.
  Corrine is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathleen K. Biersdorff and Richard Patching of Calgary, Alberta, Canada, as well as four nieces and one nephew.  She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard P. Molloy, and her sister-in-law Vera B. Molloy.
  Corinne received the Graduate Certificate in Commercial Banking from the American Institute of Banking, and completed the Graduate School of the Illinois Bankers Association at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, IL. She was a Certified Data Processor, receiving her certification from the Institute for the Certification of Computing Professionals (ICCP). She had also been active in classes for SeniorNet and adult education courses at both ICC and Bradley University.
  Corinne served as President of the Central Illinois Chapter, Bank Administration Association. She served many years on the boards of the Central Illinois Chapter of the American Institute of Banking and the local chapter of the Data Processors Management Association (now ICCP). She was also active on the Board of the Peoria County Genealogical Society. For many years, Corinne volunteered her time preparing for the Festival of Lights in East Peoria.  In 1995, Corinne retired after 45 years from Bank One, formerly the Jefferson Bank, and currently Chase Bank. At that time, she held the position of Vice President, Manager of the Information Systems department.
  Corinne was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Peoria Heights.
  A visitation for Corinne will be held at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home in Peoria from 12:00-3:00 PM on Monday, August 28, 2017. Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at Resurrection Mausoleum at a later date.  Memorial contributions in honor of Corinne may be made to South Side Mission.  Corinne's online memorial website may be viewed at www.cumerford.com
