Obituary of Donald Baker

Donald Lee Baker of Chillicothe, IL. passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Friday November 3rd, 2017. Don was born on July 5th, 1948 in Brookfield, Mo. to Gordon and Eudema Baker. He married Ingrid L. Baker on August 26th, 1967 at First Methodist Church in Chillicothe, IL. Don is survived by his wife, Ingrid and daughter, Kim Lauber. Grandsons Tyler and Drew Lauber. One brother Larry R. Baker (Kathy) of Blue Springs, MO. and many nieces and nephews. Don was proceeded in death by his parents, his brother Lyle and sister Carol. Don worked at Mittal Steel in Hennepin, IL. for 41 years. Don served in the Army from March 1968-1970. He was a Vietnam War Veteran and a member of the VFW Post 4999. Funeral services will be Saturday November 11th, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Weber Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation will be 2 hour prior to services. The family would like to thank OSF Hospice for their loving care during his illness. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
