Obituary of Allan March
Allan L. March, 65, of Chillicothe passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home.
Al was born on August 23, 1952 in Wichita, KS to James E. and Phyllis C. (Rose) March. He married Laurie A. Williamson on July 14, 1973 at St. Clements Catholic Church in Dunlap.
Surviving is his Wife, Laurie of Chillicothe; two daughters, Michelle (Dick) Kerr of Booneville, MS and Melissa (Matt) Hathcock of Washington; four brothers, James March of Pekin, David (Mary) March of Mesa, AZ, Rick (Tina) March of Chillicothe, and Tony (Aly) March of Chillicothe; one sister, Laurie March of Chillicothe; five grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Jase Kerr, and Blakely, Corbin and Baby boy Hathcock. Preceded in death by his parents and one infant son.
Al worked as a printer for International Paper and then worked for and retired as a machinist for Caterpillar, Inc.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, always making people laugh, woodworking, playing computer games and sports.
Al was a member of St. Edward Catholic Church.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 am. Visitation will be held on Tuesday evening from 5-7:00 pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe and one hour prior to the service time at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made in his name to the Illinois Cancer Care Foundation. Al's online memorial website may be viewed at www.weberhurdfuneralhome.com.
