Obituary of William Conger

William E. Conger, Sr. age 76, of Peoria passed away on December 31, 2017 at Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born on June 27, 1941 in Peoria the son of Kenneth and Catherine (Cripe) Conger. He married Sharon K. Butler on December 23, 1961 in Peoria. Surviving is his wife, Sharon Conger of Peoria; a son, William E. (Michelle) Conger of Germantown Hills and their children, Aiden and Ian Conger; two brothers, Bob (Judy) Conger of Peoria and Jim Conger of Memphis, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother and sister. William worked for the Peoria and East Peoria Post Office as a mailman for over 30 years. He also managed his brother's business, Conger Dental Laboratory. Williams was a U.S. Navy Veteran, where he worked in Naval construction, better known as the Seabees. A gathering for friends and relatives will be held on Friday evening, January 5, 2018 from 5-7:00 pm at Cumerford-Hurd Funeral Home, located at 428 W. McClure Avenue, Peoria.
