Obituary of Gary Turner

Gary L. Turner, 64, of Peoria passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Aperion Care Center in Bloomington. Gary was born on March 13, 1953 in Kewanee the son of Jack and Joyce (Johnson) Turner. He married Cynthia Dillon on June 22, 1974, she was the love of his life for 43 years. Also surviving are his children: Justin (Angela) Turner of Bloomington, Jeremy Turner of Peoria, James Turner of Peoria and Richard Turner of Peoria; eight grandchildren: Kristin, Andrew, Jackson, Kailee, Addilyn, Cain, Dillon and Logan; brother, Rick (Candy) Turner of Bartonville; sister, Christy (Michael) Radosevic; and his mother, Joyce Turner of Bartonville. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Gary was a carpet installer for Jack Sawyer and Joe Merrick. He also worked for Rick Turner Builders as a carpenter. Gary loved to fish, spend time in the outdoors, and spend time with his family and his Lord. He was a trivia expert, loved to TALK, and had a great sense of humor. He was an excellent role model for his family with honesty and integrity. A funeral service for Gary will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Charter Oak Bible Church. Pastor Roger Larson will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the church. Gary's family would like to thank you for your memorial contributions.
