Obituary of Betty Snodgrass

Betty S. Snodgrass, 86, of Chillicothe passed away on January 20, 2018 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born on November 22, 1931 to William and Ora Rhew in Nebo, KY. She married Bill Snodgrass on October 21, 1950 in Evansville, IN. Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, four brothers, two grandsons, Joshua and Neil, and a daughter in law, Wendy. Betty is survived by her children: Victor (and Norma) Snodgrass of Peoria, Rebecca Logue of Chillicothe, Paul Snodgrass of Chillicothe, Deborah Grimes of Peoria and Kevin Snodgrass of Pekin; nine grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and her first great-great-grandchild on the way. Until ill health prevented it, Betty and Bill were members of the Chillicothe Historical society, Peoria Poetry Club, United Cherokee Ani-Yun-Wiya Nation and the former Peoria Scottish American society. A funeral service for Betty will be held on Friday morning, January 26, 2018 at 11:00 am at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home. Pastor Andy Goewey will officiate. Vitiation will be held on Thursday evening at the funeral home from 5-7:00 pm. Burial will be held in the Chillicothe City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to a charity of your choice in Betty's name.
