Obituary of Tony Whitehurst

CHILLICOTHE - Tony E. Whitehurst, 71, of Sparland passed on Thursday 25, 2018 at Heritage Health - Chillicothe. He was born on November 7, 1945 in Peoria the son of Arthur L. and Gertrude E. (LaMay) Whitehurst. He married Joyce Collier who preceded him in death. Surviving are his children: Kathleen (Ron) Deffenbaugh of Sparland, Raelene (Darrel) Barton of Peoria, William Collier of Chester, Joyce Collier of Indianapolis, IN, Robin Collier of Peoria, and Tony Collier of Dixon; many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; a bother, Larry Whitehurst of Henry and a sister Mary Mathews of Phoenix AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents, lifetime partner of 43 years, Joyce Collier, a daughter, Cherry McCrimmon and two sons: Ronald Collier and Tony Whitehurst, Jr. Tony worked for Chuck's Towing and also for Chuck's Auto Sales. A graveside service will be held at the Chillicothe City Cemetery on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 12:00 noon. A celebration of life will be held at Dan's Tow Bar located at 1923 Southwest Adams Street, Peoria. following the graveside service on Wednesday at 1:00 PM.
