Obituary of Mildred Ohl

PEORIA- Mildred Willa Ohl, 106, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Cornerstone Rehabilitation and Health Care. She was born June 25, 1911 in Peoria to Theodore and Lottie Ann (Scherer) Alberssen. She married Harry Ohl on October 17, 1931 in Peoria. He passed away on October 31, 1989. Mildred last worked in the cafeteria of Richwoods High School where she retired in 1971. In her younger years, Mildred and her brothers sang in a quartet performing around Peoria. In her later years, she enjoyed singing with Jimmy Binkley when he performed at the nursing home. She could still remember the words to all the old songs. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and with brothers and sisters. Surviving are sons Roger (Kathleen) Ohl and David (Sunnie) Ohl. Grandchildren: Julie (Devon) Hess, Chris (Missy Sallee) Ohl and Mark (Darci) Ohl. Great granddaughter Taylor (Ryan Renner) Ohl and great grandsons Mitchell and Sam Ohl. Great-great-grandson Dawson Ohl. And a special sister-in-law Bette Ohl. Graveside service will be held at Springdale Cemetery on Saturday, February 17, 2018 at 10:00 am.
