Obituary of John Kakuris

John A. Kakuris, 92 of Peoria passed away on February 24, 2018 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center John was born on June 30, 1925 in Peoria to Angelo J. and Golda B. (Bray) Kakuris. He married Angeliki Randitsas on August 26, 1962 in Greece He is survived by his wife, Angeliki Kakuris of Peoria, a son, Angelo Kakuris of Peoria, three grandchildren, Michael Kakuris of Creve Coeur, Nikki Kakuris of Bartonville, and Samantha Garcia of Arizona, two great grandchildren, Jaydon and Aaliyha and one god daughter, Sophia. John worked for the Rock Island Railroad. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday morning, February 27, 2018 at 10:00 am at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Peoria. Father Ciprian Sas will officiate. Visitation will be held on Monday evening from 4-6:00 pm with Trisagion Prayers at 6:00 pm. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery.
