Obituary of Frances Paddock

CHILLICOTHE - Frances N. Paddock, 96, passed away on June 4, 2018 at Snyder Village in Metamora. She was born in Princeville on November 22, 1921, to Effie (Mansfield) and Harry Irvin Neill. She graduated from Princeville High School and attended Dickson School of Business in Peoria. Frances married Raymond W. Paddock on June 16, 1940 in St. Charles, MO. He passed away on November 15, 1996. While Ray served in World War II, Fran was a timekeeper in a defense plant that manufactured Navy Mine Boxes and 155mm shells. Fran had many careers during her lifetime. She worked at the U.S. Post Office in Bushnell, she owned and operated Rae-Ann's Apparel Shop in Bushnell, and was Village Clerk in Princeville. She was former member of the Order of Eastern Star and the Business and Professional Women. After retiring, she and Ray moved to Michigan. They later moved back to Illinois and settled in Chillicothe. Fran was a member of Chillicothe Bible Church and Attended Grace Bible Church in Washington. Fran is survived by two sons: Stephen of Crest Hill and David (Anne) of Marietta, GA; one daughter Ann (Richard) Stinson of Washington; seven grandchildren: Sheila Tite, Stephen Paddock, Emily Rempel, Marcia Paddock, Sarah Glick, Thomas Stinson, and Amy Mulder, along with fourteen great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.One grandchild, Jacob Neill Stinson, one sister Mabel Ann Neill and one brother Snowden A. Neill preceded her in death. Fran loved her family, her church, and her many friends. Everyone always enjoyed her keen sense of humor. Her "Welcome Mat" was always out! Memorials can be made to Chillicothe Bible Church, Grace Bible Church or Snyder Village, Metamora, IL. Services will be held Monday June 11, 2018 at the Chillicothe Bible Church at 11:00 am with visitation 1 1/2 hours before the service time at the church. Pastor Adam Kipp of Grace Bible Church in Washington and Pastor Joe Horn of Chillicothe Bible Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Chillicothe City Cemetery.
