Obituary of Louis Mahue

PEORIA - Fr. Louis D. Mahue, MD, 92, of Peoria passed away on July 1, 2018 at Lutheran Hillside Village, Peoria. Louis was born on May 15, 1926 in Kalamazoo,MI the son of Louis and Katherine (DeVries) Mahue. He married Rachael Quant on May 3, 1955 in Hudson, OH. She preceded him in death on August 11, 2006. Surviving are his children: Maya Mahue of Poway, CA, Michelle (Dan) Dawson of Brecksville,OH, Celia Mahue of Powell, WY, and Christina Henry of Peoria Heights; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. Louis had a Doctorate Degree and was a self-employed pathologist in the Peoria area for many years. He had a Clinical Laboratory and worked for the Peoria Coroner's Office. He later became an ordained Father with the St. Michael and All Angels Church in Peoria. Louis was a U.S.Navy Veteran. Cremation rites have been accorded and services will be held at a later date.
