Obituary of Dorothy Reed

Dorothy V. Reed, 99, of Peoria passed away on Wednesday morning at Sunset Manor Nursing Home. Dorothy was born on Oct. 17, 1919 in Hannibal, MO. the daughter of Ivan P. Wilkins and Mary E. (King) Eastman. She married William Reed on June 28, 1940 in Hannibal, MO. Surviving is her grandchildren, Cody (Robin) Reed of Dunlap, Tori (Kiley) Coleman of Bartonville, Tiffany (Rick) Bremser of Murrieta, CA, Eric (Tracy) Warner of Mossville, Christine Michaels of Rome, John Reed of Ventura, CA. and Marnie (Greg) Long of Melbourne, FL; and 17 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons William Jr. and James, and a grandson Shane Skaggs and her brother. Dorothy was a house wife, her family was her life, taking care of and being around for them. A funeral service will be held on November 7, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Weber-Hurd Funeral Home in Chillicothe. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service time at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Hawley Cemetery.
