Obituary of Mary M. Mundy

Mary M. Mundy, 91, of Chillicothe, passed away on November 11, 2018, at her home.

   Mary was born on Nov. 20, 1926, in Victoria, the daughter of Loren and Mabel Huber.  She married Charles Mundy on Dec. 5, 1946, in Galva, at St. John Catholic Church.

   Chuck and Mary were high school sweethearts, and they would have been married 72 years this Dec.

   Surviving are her children: Gail Lynn Dooley of Chillicothe and Diane Mary (Glenn) Otto of Keokuk, IA; six grandchildren:  Josh, Audra, Sarah, Samantha, Sadie, and Jacob; and 12 great-grandchildren:  Kailyn, Jackson, Katy, Jade, Aria, Oscar, Braedyn, Emmett, Oliver, Josiah, Roland, and Warren.  Also, a special friend, Anita Jurick, who helped care for Mom. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister Jean; four brothers: Bill, Bob, Emery, and Rolland; and her son Gary Edward.

   Mary worked for Caterpillar Tractor Company, Inc., as an executive secretary, for 28 years, the majority of which was at the CAT plant in Mossville.

   A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at 12 Noon at St. Edward Catholic Church in Chillicothe.  Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.  Memorials may be made to St. Edward Catholic School.
