Dear Della and Yvonne and family,
Your family has meant the world to our family for almost seventy years now, and we are heartbroken for all of you in your great accumulation of losses, this latest being Tony. It’s hard for me to think of him as “Papa,” because I remember him as he was in the obituary picture, a dashing young man, sometimes in his sailor uniform, running in and out the front door of the house across the street.
We had fully intended to be with you today for services, but Don hasn’t been feeling well in the past 24 hours, and the rest of the family is at a youth retreat in Wisconsin, so I’ll have to settle for praying for each of you as you say your goodbyes to your beloved Tony. I’m so sorry not to be there - I would if I could - and I’m so sorry for each of you.
May the Lord wrap you in his tender care.
All my love,
Pam
